I just saw this underground party kit! If I hosted a party and a screening of the movie Seoul Train, locals, would you be interested in coming? I would not charge to give you these items, since spreading awareness is good and would save up to pay for this kit myself, and can collect donations for this charity if people wanted to donate.

I think the only good thing about the crap flinging that goes on in the LJ Buddhist community is that is helps eradicate the stereotype that all Buddhists are a bunch of pacifists that take abuse and only see the world as something filled with rainbows and kittens.

We can be jerks too. We are people too. If we were so fucking awesome and great, we would be enlightened already, and wouldnt need to talk about buddhism on the internet.

I dont really know if I am a good Buddhist or a bad one. Im full of contradictions. Im just a Buddhist. I save animals, yet I also eat them. I believe in a womans right to choose, yet would avoid making that choice for myself if possible. There are cases in which I would support the death penalty, and cases where I would not. I'd kill a damn roach in a heartbeat, but if I found a mouse in my home I would catch it and set it loose. I take medications that alter my mind, because I dont feel like my mind is in the right place to be without it.

Buddhism isnt cut and dry like many religions. There is no set "This is okay and this is not" across the board. It leaves many people confused about what Buddhism really is, and leaves it open to individual interpretation. Honestly, I really like that kind of freedom. Not because I want to justify wahat I do, but because I can have faith without guilt.

My belief is that your intention behind what you do has far more karmic weight than what you actually do.

I think I would have more negative karma from killing a roach from my pure hatred of the creatures, than I would from killing someone in defense who is trying to kill a family member.

~Generally, I will try not to, but sometimes I will, especially if it is in my own LJ you are spouting crap in. Besides, I am human first, Buddhist second. Im kinda having a hard time with Right Speech and Right Thought, but if I didn't, you probably wouldnt want to read this LJ anyways. But I always, always, stop to try and think things through before acting. I want to treat everyone here with love. The human in me knows that isnt always possible. And you know what? ~Different strokes for different folks and all that. I believe almost anything is funny if presented the right way, and there is a difference between humor and hate. Laughter is a great way to deal with some things in life, you know? Though I do know it is hard to tell sometimes when people harbor real prejudice disguised as a joke. So, if I do truly offend you, and you point it out to me nicely, you will get a sincere apology. I also feel some forms of "humor" are not funny as well, so it isnt as though I just LOL when teh white guy in the office tells a Mexican joke.
